SLATE stands for Sheridan’s Learning and Teaching Environment.  It is the branded name for our underlying learning platform that is hosted by Brightspace by D2L.  This platform which delivers an online learning experience to the Sheridan community includes course offerings, workbenches, commons and virtual communities.  It provides online learning tools and capability including managing course content, communicating and assessments.
