Course Development & Design

Our E-Learning designers support faculty in actually implementing the design and development of hybrid and online courses and course components.  We assist faculty in identifying sound techniques and practices to enhance student learning.

In consultation with faculty, this assistance can include generating new online materials and activities or adapting existing instructional materials and activities used in face-to-face instruction for online use.  We can also help in selecting the best digital technology for a particular learning activity.  In moving from predominantly face-to-face instruction, we can assist in identifying strategies to transition to online delivery as well as identify best practices for online learning.

We also assist in the creation of graphics, HTML files, documents, multimedia presentations/demonstrations and interactive learning objects.  While E-Learning designers are available to assist faculty in transitioning whole courses to hybrid modalities, we also provide consultation to faculty on existing courses through collaborative review, provide new ideas and techniques to enhance student learning, help identify new strategies for assessment and evaluation, and offer media/graphical enhancement to the look and feel of a course.
